LEAN INTO LEADERSHIP

LEADERSHIP PROGRAM COMITTEES

Your Athena member experience comes with a variety of platforms to significantly build your leadership skills, strategically broaden your network and cultivate your personal brand.  Athena’s portfolio of 50 annual leadership programs is driven by its committees, comprised entirely of Athena members. Central to the success of these programs are the leaders that pursue a committee assignment and bring their time, talent, and treasure to the committees’ success.

Athena members who join these committees lean into leadership by helping with program management, content creation, access to key opinion leaders, domain expertise, and social media campaigns with the goal of educating our STEM community to achieve accelerated professional success. Each Leadership Program Committee produces 3-4 programs annually and meets once monthly.  Committees are open to all Athena members.

ASPIRING LEADERS
SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP (ASIG)

Athena’s ASIG Committee produces career advancement programs that provide strategies, tools and targeted networking that aid in accelerating early to mid-career paths across all STEM sectors. These programs offer techniques and resources tailor-made for rising managers intent on achieving their career ambitions quicker and smarter.

LIFE SCIENCES

SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP (LSIG)

The LSIG Committee produces programs that equip women with sector-specific insights and methodologies to advance careers, accelerate business opportunities and grow your organizational leadership. These influential programs offer invaluable pearls of wisdom from experts at the forefront of career advancement in the life sciences sector.

TECHNOLOGY
SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP (TSIG)

Imagine a world where women are heard and valued inside the tech industry. The TSIG committee presents programs designed to showcase founders, funders, and technologists sharing best practices on self-advocacy, embracing a growth mindset, and increasing your influence inside tech companies. These programs represent an invaluable nexus helping Athena members unlock and align their genius with the tech community’s proven leaders.

MALE ALLYSHIP

COMMITTEE

United in a shared vision - advancing 1 million women in STEM by 2030 - Athena's Male Allyship Committee produces educational programs to identify practical steps to support and elevate female colleagues, address the roadblocks that male allies face in taking action, broadly promote and disseminate this information to activate more male across the STEM community.

Meets the 2nd Thursday of Every Month

SIGNATURE SERIES
COMMITTEE

Athena’s Signature Series Committee designs and delivers a popular program series that offers STEM-focused content shared by CEOs, domain experts and entrepreneurs.  Hot topics ranging from executive leadership challenges to negotiating skills or strategies on how STEM women actually rise to the top are among the types of programs that drive strong market appeal.
