TRACY TING

Tracy Ting is an award-winning CHRO with background in finance who enhances shareholder value through strategic business growth and cultural transformation at multi-national companies. She is currently the SVP & CHRO at Encore Capital Group, bringing almost three decades of combined finance and HR expertise. At Encore, Tracy provides global enterprise leadership, strategic vision and functional expertise, including spearheading the company’s D&I and ESG efforts.

Prior to Encore, Tracy was the Chief People Officer at Avanir Pharmaceuticals from 2017 to 2019. As a high-performing leader with an influential mindset and a creative strategist, she drove key business objectives and set strategic direction for people and overall culture towards innovation, growth and accountability. From 2014 to 2016, Tracy served as the SVP & CHRO at Affymetrix, a public global life science tools company, up until its acquisition by Thermo Fisher Scientific. Prior to Affymetrix, Tracy worked at Varian Medical Systems, the global market leader in radiation oncology, for 15 years and held various leadership roles in HR and Finance and contributed toward its quadrupled worldwide growth in headcount and revenue. Earlier in her career, Tracy worked as a financial auditor at PwC LLP in Los Angeles.

Tracy’s commitment to excellence also expands to her local community. She is on the Executive Board of the North County San Diego chapter of Jack & Jill of America, Inc., a membership organization of mothers dedicated to nurturing future Black leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty. She is also a part of the San Diego Del Sol chapter of National Charity League, a national women-led organization that practices philanthropy as the active effort to promote human welfare.

Tracy holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications Studies with an emphasis in Business Administration from UCLA. Tracy was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to the U.S. over 35 years ago. She is married to an African-American high-tech executive, and together they are parents of two bi-racial teenagers living in California.
