A DAY IN THE LIFE:
The ETL Developer designs and builds ETL workflow according to Tandem’s data technology architecture and solutions. Will play a key role in designing, modifying, developing, and implementing software applications focusing primarily on data processing using ETL tools, SQL and languages such as Python. This position will extract, transform, and load structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources. This position will assist the team with the collection of specifications, the development of documentation required for implementing solutions. Builds processes and structures based on business and technical requirements to channel data from multiple disparate inputs, route appropriately and store using any combination of distributed (cloud) structures, local databases, and other applicable storage forms as required.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for using ETL tools for design, development, and implementation of ETL workflow to support development of enterprise data warehouse. Provides ongoing support of the EDW solution such as maintaining ETL and SQL packages and procedures. Completes standard database maintenance including job monitoring. Independently troubleshoots database and ETL issues. Responsible for the documenting system changes as well as standards for use. Creates end user training materials as needed.
YOU’RE AWESOME AT : 5 plus years of experience working in a ETL development environment. S. in computer science or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience. Demonstrated proficiency in ETL/DataMart development using SSIS or Azure Data Factory. Proficiency in best ETL practices and logging mechanism. Expert T-SQL skills including proven ability to read, write and debug complex SQL queries. Proficiency in developing with the Microsoft BI product stack. SSRS, SSMS, SSIS and SSAS experience required. Experience with OLTP data sources (MS Dynamics AX & CRM preferred). Proficient in MS Office products. Must be a team-player, oriented toward customer service. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated proficiency working with extremely large datasets and disparate data source systems. Working knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or other data visualization software EXTRA AWESOME: Change Management Systems experience required, JIRA preferred.
