Building the Opportunity Pipeline in STEM

Through a Thomas Ackerman Foundation Grant (is this correct?), Athena is working with the All Girls STEM Society (AGSS) to provide access to mentors from the Athena Community to inspire, educate and empower these middle and high school students to academically and professionally pursue their STEM interests.

All Girls STEM Society (AGSS) is a nonprofit organization that strives to end the underrepresentation of women in STEM fields by encouraging the future generation. The AGSS staff, comprised of high school age students, works hard to support and inspire young girls in grades 3-8 to pursue their interests in STEM fields through events and workshops.

The alliance with AGSS also introduces Athena's Partners to this promising and dynamic STEM pipeline as these young women represent the brightest future members of the STEM community.
