Athena San Diego is THE organization for executives and middle management women in San Diego's high-tech, biosciences, healthcare, defense, energy, clean-tech and services sectors. What started as an informal network became a structured organization in 1998 and today numbers more than 500 members — all with vision and leadership roles. Join Athena San Diego and become part of an exciting organization uniting women executives from high-tech, biosciences, healthcare, defense, energy, clean-tech and services companies in a network of leadership, mentoring, support, and education that addresses the business issues and challenges confronting women in the executive office — and is changing the way San Diego does business.

HOW TO JOIN

Membership is open to women (and men) employed by a science, technology, healthcare, defense, energy, clean-tech company or a service provider company that is an Athena San Diego sponsor. Both Executive and Associate categories require submission of an application, which is then screened by Athena San Diego's membership committee (four to six weeks for processing).

A current Athena San Diego Executive level member must sponsor those seeking to join at the Associate level. The associate member candidate must secure a written endorsement from an Executive level Athena member confirming that the prospective Associate member qualifies as a rising manager and indicating how Athena will benefit from their participation in the organization.
