There are two levels of Athena San Diego membership: Executive and Associate.

Executive Member Application

To be eligible for Athena Executive membership a candidate MUST be employed by a life science, technology or healthcare company, or service provider, that is an Athena San Diego sponsor. A candidate must also have sufficient management experience to be considered an executive at the director level (or above) in their company.

Associate Member Application

Open to those on an executive track for advancement and employed by a life science, technology, engineering or defense company. Service providers who support these sectors are also encouraged to join Athena via corporate sponsorship. A candidate must have sufficient management experience to be considered a manager in their company and, if so, may join Athena at the associate level.

The Associate membership category requires sponsorship by a current Athena San Diego Executive level member. The associate member candidate must secure a written endorsement from an Executive level Athena member confirming that the prospective Associate member qualifies as a rising manager and indicating how Athena will benefit from their participation in the organization.
