Our Board of Directors

Maureen Makridis has over 19 years experience working with professional service firms in the areas of audit, consulting and tax. She joined Deloitte in 1996, and currently serves as a national director specializing in pension and benefit plan audits and consulting. Her clients include both public and non-public companies in a variety of industries including technology, life sciences, healthcare, aerospace and defense, energy, not-for-profit, and gaming. Maureen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and serves on the AICPA 403(b) task force.

Some of the clients Maureen has served include: Sempra Energy, SAIC, The Scripps Research Institute, Alliant Holdings I, LLC, Sanford Burnham Medical Research Institute, MGM MIRAGE, Citadel Broadcasting, The Boeing Company, Northrop Grumman Corporation, The Titan Corporation, and Pacific Life Insurance Company.

In addition to her national role, from 2007 to 2010, Maureen spent the majority of her time overseas to establish the U.S. audit practices in Hyderabad and Mumbai, India. Working with U.S. and Global leaders from Deloitte, she lead teams to recruit, train and develop professionals from India to perform attest work for Global and U.S. based clients. Presently, she continues to serve as the India employee benefits practice leader and now resides full-time in San Diego.

She was the recipient of the YWCA's TWIN (Tribute to Women in Industry) Award and is involved in and supports several community and professional organizations both in San Diego and India. She is actively involved in the Deloitte Women's Initiative and Diversity & Inclusion Initiative, both of which support the advancement and retention of women and minorities at Deloitte.
