Our Board of Directors
Deborah is responsible for the business development efforts of PwCs San Diego Life Sciences/Pharma Practice. She has a proven track record of helping companies of all sizes establish a market presence. Prior to joining PwC, Deborah ran her own marketing consulting business where she successfully developed marketing and PR strategies for companies in the biotech, insurance, and non-profit sectors. In her role as VP of Marketing for Marsh's U.S. Middle Market Practice, Deborah was responsible for the development of strategic marketing and communications plans for the company's middle market business platform. Prior to that, she worked with Barney & Barney LLC where she was responsible for taking this 100-year-old company to record market share and growing its presence in the life sciences and technology sectors. She is a results-proven management professional with more than 20 years experience in business development, marketing, PR, and communications.
In addition to serving as Chair of Athena San Diego's Board of Directors, Deborah has been involved with the Athena Pinnacle Awards since 2002 where she continues to chair the Staging Committee. She has also served as the event co-chair, chair of the Marketing/PR Committee and Sponsorship Committee. Deborah is also involved in many other community endeavors, including, among others:
